【暴權政府，麻木不仁】
事已至此，只有一個原因。
那原因是香港政府。
特區政府林鄭月娥與其管治班子仍然選擇迴避示威者的訴求，執意加深社會的矛盾和撕裂。我們不斷提供機會予政府，換來的卻只是問責官員連番假惺惺的道歉，意圖蒙混過關，敷衍了事。
起初，人民以和平方法表達訴求，卻被政府刻意忽視。年輕人對香港社會的狀況及未來感到絕望，只能以更多不同方法表達意願，以引起更大的社會關注。很多人犧牲了很多，包括時間、血汗、自由，甚至生命。
身在獄中的梁天琦曾經說過：「從來令香港社會動亂的是當權者，而非反抗者。」我們同是政權下的被壓迫者、是命運共同體，既然一同背負香港人的身份，當他們不惜代價為了香港奮戰時，我們為何還要譴責同路人呢？
現場示威者作出的所有升級行動，林鄭月娥團隊必須負上全部責任。
A tyrannical and unfeeling government
What is unfolding before us is the fault of the Hong Kong government.
After all this time, the Hong Kong SAR government and its Chief Executive Carrie Lam still refuse to respond to protesters’ demands, intentionally creating rifts among members of the society. The government was given multiple opportunities to respond, only for accountable principal officials to issue canned apologies without meaningful actions.
The public’s peaceful protest began in June, only to be continually ignored by the government. Our youth have grown disenfranchised to the society and their future, and can only look for alternate ways to be heard. Many have sacrificed much, including time, sweat, blood, freedom, and even multiple lives.
Political prisoner and activist Edward Leung once said, “it has always been the people in power who create turmoil in Hong Kong’s society, not the protesters.” We are all oppressed by the tyrannical government; we all bear the identity of Hongkongers, and if they fight for the future of Hong Kong, why should we be pointing fingers at people who share our common goals?
The consequences of our protesters’ escalation tonight must be borne by Carrie Lam and her political team.
